Welcome to Damon’s page…for so much more than just worms for bait.
Damon had a simple idea for a business…put his affinity for gross things to work. Next thing you know, he had 3, count them, 3 worm farms in his bedroom!
At eight years of age, he is already an expert on all things wormy. Damon is eager to help you with all your wormy needs: fish bait, pet food, or exotic cuisines!
Meet his creepy crawlers: Wax worms, Mealworms, and Red Wiggers.
Considered the “dessert worm,” wax worms are considered a delicacy in some cultures. These chubby little white worms are the larvae of the wax moth. Their white color attracts bass, all kinds of trout, catfish and other pan-fish. “Waxies” are excellent for reptiles and birds. They are better given as treats than dietary staples, because of their high fat content. And word is they are even tasty dry roasted or stir fried! These are a bit trickier to raise and go for $2 a dozen when Damon has them in stock.

Eisenia fetida might not be your first thought when you think of a worm on a hook, but they have an advantage over traditional night crawlers; where an earth worm will die underwater, a red wiggler thrashes, and will keep wriggling for up to four days…plenty of time to catch that fish’s eye! Order a week in advance, and Damon will feed a special diet to your wigglers to plump them up!
They are also the champion of vermicomposting. Damon can help you get your own worm farm started if you want to turn your kitchen scraps into compost. Read more about it.
Also great pet food for reptiles, fish, amphibians, and birds.
$1 for 20 or $10.00 for 1/2 a pound
Darkling beetles in their larval stage. Great for birds, fish and reptiles. If you are interested in exotic endeavors, Damon says they taste like pea pods. Mealworms are an excellent bait because they are a natural food for fish and are recognizable as a tasty meal. They attract a wide range of fish. Meal worms are also great for attracting wild birds to your yard.
